This fabric SKU was updated in 2024 with our new Japanese Acrylic manufacturing formulation. While similar, this version of the fabric will feel softer and have a more consistent/denser pile throughout. Please note this fabric is 62 inches wide vs the previous 64 inches.

Cleaning & Maintenance Of Faux Fur Fabric

  1. Regular Brushing
  • Use a soft-bristle brush or a wide-tooth comb to prevent tangling.
  • Always brush in the direction of the fur to maintain its smooth and fluffy texture.
  1. Avoid Direct Heat
  • Do not use irons, as excessive heat can melt the fibers and ruin the texture.
  • Let it air dry in a well-ventilated area.
  1. Gentle Washing
  • If possible, hand wash with cold water and mild detergent.
  • If using a washing machine, select a delicate cycle and place the fabric in a laundry bag to minimize friction.
  1. Air Drying
  • Lay it flat to dry, away from direct sunlight.

By following these tips, your faux fur fabric will stay soft, fluffy, and in excellent condition.

Great fur, and was perfect for what I needed.
Same quality as I have come to expect from Big Z, and I will be back again for more as usual.
It is a bit shinier than other furs, but is still soft, sews well, and has a good backing. Lovely for fursuit hair and backbrushes well.

Occasional spots where the backing has small defects, but minimal and easy to work around. And for the price I am not complaining about this.

Would definetly recomend, and will be back again for more!

I ordered 3 1/2 yards of faux fur from Big Z fabrics and it arrived 1 week later, keeping in mind that I live in Australia this is a massive success in shipping time. The fur also works great for my fursuit! I’ve started cutting it and I’m soon going to shave it, so far no problems with the faux fur. Sometimes it can be tricky when trying to avoid cutting the fur pile, but that’s been my only issue so far!
